Youth Art Month is a celebration of the visual arts!

Youth Art Month links K-12 students and art educators from across America. Plan now to be a part of the Arizona celebration in March, 2018.

The annual student exhibition at Phoenix Art Museum raises awareness and support for the visual art to local and state education officials, business and community leaders, and legislators.

              How to get involved:

Each school is invited to submit up to two (2-dimensional) works of art for display.  We’ll make arrangements to collect art from Northern and Southern Arizona schools through AAEA representatives.

Start off the school year with YAM. Have your students (elementary, middle and high school) create a design. This year’s theme is “Building Community through Art.” Bring your students submissions to the conference in Sedona so attendees can vote. The top works of art reflecting this theme will get prizes in each category (prizes stated below). The winning state design will also be transformed into a flag and all works will be displayed in the Youth Art Month Museum at the National Art Education Association Convention (NAEA) in March.
