Getting Up Close and Personal with Watercolors
Fern Asallas, M.Ed.
Bethany Bergman, our Central Region Chair, will be hosting this fun workshop in her classroom in Gilbert.
In this workshop participants will have hands on experience from sharing creative textures and techniques to creating meaningful compositions.
Please bring a Favorite Painting Technique and a Physical Example of such technique for a 5 minute demonstration with the group. (This does NOT have to be a whole painting, it could be, for example, a few petals of a flower, or the technique for creating smudges on clouds.) Anything is acceptable as long as you view it is interesting and beneficial to share with your peers. If you have used this favorite painting technique and have examples of how the students have applied such technique, bring a few of those if they have them handy, but is not required. Please bring a sketchbook for wet medium applications.
This workshop will be led by Fern Asallas, M.Ed.
Supplies and lunch will be provided.
Four clock hours will also be provided
Fern has suggested the following extra supplies to bring if you want:
Support boards for taping your paper on, masking tape, white crayon, salt, watercolor brushes, toothbrush, sea sponge, paper doily, watercolor palette, and any other supplies you like to work with.
